What is the general consensus for using Twitter as a communication platform for the league?
At the moment there are already a number of owners that are tied into Twitter (that I am aware of).
Reasons to consider Twitter:
Another consideration for Twitter for those of you that have not yet discovered it: there is a great wealth of information from all types of hockey (and other) sources that are somewhat interesting to read 140 characters at a time.

Reasons to consider Twitter:
- Could be used for the Free Agent Frenzy
- Could be used for the Future Prospect Draft

I became a convert of July 1 as I watched Bob McKenzie and Darren Dreger et al on TV, their tweets (and those from other sources) leapt onto my screen...sometimes I was seeing signings before James Duthie could tell us about it...and it was neat that he was on his phone half the time too as he was receiving tweet and texts fro players and agents live on TV. Just my Two-itter cents.
ReplyDeletem.
We need it people. Its the 21st century. Even Buck Roger's uses it!
ReplyDeleteWhile it is new and trendy, I don't reckon Twitter hits the exact need we have. Better served is the Blogger interface embedded into the website. One location, you use the Google login/password that applied to Google Groups as well. Done. Anything that Twitter would have supplied can be more or less formulated in the Comments section of each post...like this one. Time is tracked and all responses are recorded clearly. 'Nuff said.
ReplyDeleteBah! Carrier pigeons never got a fair shake I say.
ReplyDeleteRob, it was Twiki, not Twiti. But get me a hot sidekick like Erin Grey and a walking, talking silver robot with a head shaped like a phalic symbol, and I'm in.
Whatever happened to Dr. Theopolus? I'm basically on Twitter for trade deadline updates and this hockey pool right now, that's about the only time I use my account.
